Having been in A&E this week with a family member I feel compelled to write a review. I have one word for our visit, outstanding. My loved one was treated with respect, kindness and the utmost care by every member of staff. I get very upset when people who know no better, redicule. I can only give my opinion but I felt every patient present understood they would receive the best treatment possible. The staff give 100% while being so professional and caring . I cannot thank the staff enough. A little post note ....even with so many patients the toilets were spotless.

I was brought in to A&E and kept overnight. Not a single member of staff was anything but fantastic. Everybody was kind considerate and professional. My care was first rate and I’m incredibly grateful for my treatment. You are a credit to the NHS

The overall experience of being an outpatient at Addenbrookes is amazing. As well as being a patient, I am also an employee and the overriding desire of the Trust is to put the patient experience and outcome at the very forefront of its thinking. The clinical and medical teams are exceptional, caring and reliable.

The Teenage and Young Adult Unit at Addenbrooke's is brilliant. Such a relaxed, friendly atmosphere; where families and patients are encouraged to talk to each other. The unit is fully supported by the Teenage Cancer Trust so things like wifi and TVs are provided; so important for the teenagers undergoing cancer treatment. The support staff are all brilliant and have been a fantastic resource not only for my daughter undergoing treatment but for myself too. There is counselling, support in both the Oasis and Maggie's, activities for the patients who are actively encouraged to get out of their rooms and meet up. The unit itself is bright and airy with views across Cambridge city centre from the day unit and across the meadows from the rooms. The day unit is great. All in all, from a parents perspective watching your child go through cancer is hard enough, but this unit is there and does support you and allows you to make that journey knowing you are not the only one.

I feel very fortunate to be treated at Addenbrookes Hospital. The consultants and Dr's are amazing. They are thorough in their diagnoses. They are friendly, approachable and have helped me a lot.

The surgeons were fantastic as they have been on previous occasions. On the down side sometimes things take too long to process from GP referral to hospital treatment though on this occasion, because it was an emergency, things were dealt with very quickly. We think the catering services could be improved. The food was not particularly good on the ward. The nurses were over-stretched. Discharge took rather long. There was a bit too much hanging around when our son was ready to leave the hospital. But for operations Addenbrooke's is of an extremely high standard which gives confidence to the patient and his relatives.

I arrived with severe lower abdominal pain. I was rushed through to a cubical, left for a while, had a cannula put in and some pain killers. Nobody spoke to me or came to ask how I was doing. I was taken somewhere but didn't know where as nobody had told me anything, turned out it was for a scan. After the scan I overheard a discussion about me and thought finally they're going to do something, then a doctor came and told me nothing was wrong go home. I've been there all day nil by mouth, with no communication. I have told them that I am on a waiting for list for endometriosis surgery, have been for 10 months. Had my pre op 6 months ago, and that it's. Even expedited. I regularly pass out and such, but nope, just nothing wrong out you go. Not even a drink of water.
